Tanzania Celebrates The Completion Of The SGR Railway Project By Yapı Merkezi
President Samia Suluhu Hassan officially launching the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) electric train services in Dodoma Yesterday, directing the Tanzania Railway Corporation to integrate it with other sectors to facilitate smooth transportation of goods and services.

Dodoma – Tanzania is proud to announce the successful completion of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project between Dar Es Salaam and Dodoma, a monumental achievement spearheaded by Yapı Merkezi. This significant milestone in the nation’s infrastructure development marks a new era of connectivity, economic growth, and technological advancement for Tanzania.

Yapı Merkezi, a globally renowned construction and engineering company, has delivered this transformative project with exceptional expertise, precision, and commitment. The SGR project, executed by Yapı Merkezi İnşaat ve Sanayi Anonim Şirketi, included the design and construction of key sections from Dar es Salaam to Isaka, totalling over 1,000 kilometres. The project has reinvested more than 70% of the funds into the Tanzanian economy through local suppliers, subcontractors, and employees, demonstrating Yapı Merkezi’s commitment to Tanzania’s growth.
